On behalf of Team AB we have concluded our work on Port One Logistics Park, based in Great Blakenham, Suffolk.
Port One Logistics Park is set to revolutionise e-commerce warehousing. It's East Anglia's first carbon neutral logistics park, and includes the largest building ever built in Ipswich history, with over 18 million cubic feet of capacity and 62 thousand pallet positions. The park's commitment is for all new B8 warehouses to be carbon neutral from May 2023. With its solar roofing to produce green, renewable energy.
This was purposely built to offer high ridge heights and very narrow aisles, logistically this space has been created to maximise the provision of cubic space.
A snapshot of the best parts about Port One:
- Easy accessibility from the A12 and A14 corridors
- Uninterrupted access 356 days per year
- Zero carbon development with over 5 megawatts of PV generation on-site
- New Hemisphere warehouse covering 243,511 sq ft
- 35,536 new racked pallet locations, stacking nine levels high for optimal fulfilment services
- 8,000 bulk-loaded pallets on floors and mezzanine
